Almighty, All-Knowing, Ever-Present, Uncontainable, Immeasurable Inexhaustible
“Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause; and let them say continually, ‘Let the Lord be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.’ ” Psalm 35:27
That God is God naturally means He has all power and controls all that He has created and that is everything that is created. That He is present everywhere is nothing something we can comprehend but we accept that as required to be God. That He is uncontainable and immeasurable is likewise par for the course for being God. That He is inexhaustible speaks to His resources of all that is needed for life is also an essential character to be called God.
There is nothing, no circumstance, no need, no resource, no knowledge, no wisdom or understanding, no power, no authority, no grace, no mercy, no healing, no provision, no miracle, no measure of love in which God is deficient or powerless.
The confidence for us is that when we call on Him for whatever the need in our lives He is not as men, concerned about the balance in His bank accounts, or the possibility of losing anything if they over-give. We cannot exhaust His resources.
God is not a man in that He is disengaged from us at any level. He is not disinterested in our every day affairs of life. When we hurt He feels it. When we mourn He understands, when we rejoice He shares our joy. When we have a need He wants to meet it. He is not looking for a way to avoid us. And He is not insulted or grieved with us because we ask for His aid again and again and again and again... He does feel He’s being taken for granted when we come to Him whenever we need His help. He is not as men. He is the Almighty All loving God.
Think of this. Imagine someone you love so deeply, so passionately, so completely that there is nothing you would withhold from them. In fact, you look for opportunities to shower them with the best of all that you have as often as you can. You love for them motivates your readiness to give them all then ask for and then some. Why? Because you love them and all that you have is a means of expressing that love.
If you never loved someone in this way then it might be difficult for you to understand the love of God toward you, but that’s still how He loves you anyway. You can’t ask for too much and you can’t ask Him too often. He will never chide you are make you feel small or that you are a nuisance because you ask Him to meet your needs.
He loves you and He wants to you to be blessed and to share in the all that He has created for His pleasure. He is pleased when you are blessed.
