Enjoying God’s Creation
“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.” Psalm 100:4-5
For all its shaking and its state from the time of the fall of Adam because of disobedience, the World, the earth has still been preserved by God to be an amazingly beautiful place. There are so many places on earth that reflect the glory of God despite the fact that we live in troubling times. The earth is still the Lord’s and the fullness therefore.
The expanse of the skies, the soaring majestic splendor of the mountains, the quiet rippling of clear streams, the mighty roar and crash of the seas against the rocks. The grand canyons and the soaring forests that rise so high, the fields upon fields of verdant foliage and lush vineyards that paint the fruited hillsides, the glaciers, the snow caped peaks, the golden wheat of the plains, the abounding orchards and fragrant groves, all these God has created for His pleasure and He has given it all to us to enjoy.
The summertime is a great time to travel and experience more of God’s beautiful country. I hope you have the opportunity this year to do just that. And if you can’t travel away from home take some time to enjoy and be thankful for the beauty right here in your own backyard, down the street, around the corner, or just across town, God is there too.
Be blessed and enriched by His grace and goodness today and be thankful to Him and bless His name for the Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting and His truth endures to all generations.
