When The Well Is Dry
The first thought that comes to mind is to consider the lilies and don’t panic. God has promised us His provision for all our need. Now some will argue that the promise of the Scriptures that God would supply your need was specifically given to the Philippian church because they had been generous in giving to meet Paul’s needs. It was given to them but there is no evidence that it was an exclusive promise. Jesus Himself promised the same thing to every believer who will seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. And we all did that in making Him the Lord of our lives through salvation by His blood, confessing that Jesus is Lord and believing in our hearts that God has raised Him from the dead.
There is more in these passages to be revealed. As you speak them aloud today and meditate on them, listen for the voice of the Holy Spirit speaking life, encouragement and hope to your heart that your need will be met.
Hint: Ignore the voice of doubt and avoid the negative noise. Trust God’s Word.
