Giving is intended to be fun…so have a ball!
"Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness." Romans 12:8
For those of you who want to take advantage of federal tax deductions for giving to churches, ministries and other charities you have about 35 days to do so this year. We encourage you to support your church, ministry, or charitable organization during this time. Many charities depend on year-end giving to fund their work throughout the year.
And your giving does not go unnoticed by God.
"For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister." Hebrews 6:10
So be generous, be simple in your giving and have fun, enjoy yourself. Give hilariously! God loves it when you do.
"…he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity…” Romans 12:8
"…So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7
While we do encourage you to consider this ministry in your year-end giving, in the larger sense whatever God impresses on your heart to do to support your local church, ministry or worthy charity, do it with joy and know that you will be blessed both in receiving and in your ability to increase in your generosity in the future.
"Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness." 2 Corinthians 9:10
Here is how the Amplified Bible translates 2 Corinthians 9:7
"Let each one [give] as he has made up his own mind and purposed in his heart, not reluctantly or sorrowfully or under compulsion, for God loves (He takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without) a cheerful (joyous, “prompt to do it”) giver [whose heart is in his giving]." 2 Corinthians 9:7
Finally consider this. Luke 6:38 says that when we give, the way we give determines the way God will multiply our gifts back to us.
"Give, and [gifts] will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will they pour into [the pouch formed by] the bosom [of your robe and used as a bag]. For with the measure you deal out [with the measure you use when you confer benefits on others], it will be measured back to you." Luke 6:38 Amplified Bible
When you give cheerfully, abundantly (generously) and promptly God will see to it that you receive in the same way –cheerfully, abundantly (generously) and promptly.
