Bless The LORD, O My Soul
“Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.” Psalm 103:1
From the moment we were born-again we inherited an eternal and glorious reason for being alive. We were created new creations in Christ Jesus to bless the Lord. We were created to bring pleasure to GOD. Our only reason for existing is tom live for God’s pleasure to glorify Him. That we get to enjoy life also is a measure of the extent that our enjoyment of life pleases God. In other words God wants us to enjoy life and the more we enjoy it the more He is pleased.
Now consider this:
“Fear not little flock for it is Your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Luke 12:32
“Father, we want to please You today and everyday. Thank You for giving us the Kingdom so our pleasure and joy will abound to You. Lord, forgive us for thinking ourselves undeserving or deserving of anything but Your wrath for the penalty of sin that Jesus bore on our behalf. But, He satisfied the requirement of the Law that said without the shedding of blood there can be no remission of sin. [Hebrews 9:22] And that precious blood was more than enough to cleanse us from sin for all eternity. Thank You, Father for Your incomprehensible love. AMEN”
Bless the Lord, O my soul and all that is within me…my thoughts, my hopes, my dreams, my passions, my gifts, my talents, my strength, my youth, my maturity, my old age, my words, my deeds, all that is within me, my love, my intellect, my compassion, my mercy, my forgiveness, my patience, my longsuffering, my faithful waiting on the Lord, my heart, my desires, my hopeful expectations, all that is within me bless His holy name.
Let this be our commission for today, to bless the Lord with everything we have and everything we are in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
