Thank You Father, Thank You Jesus, Thank You Holy Spirit

“It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High.” Psalm 92:1

“O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south. They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in. Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses. And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation. Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! Psalm 107:1-8

It is good to give thanks to God. We are so blessed in so many ways that we are often caught up in the whirlwind of looking for the next thing that we forget to pause and fully appreciate the last thing. We have so much to be thankful for. Despite the threats of war we still live in safe circumstances. We are still protected from persecution, lack or want in the basic things of life. Most of us live in luxury and ease compared to most of the world.

Do you have good health and are able to move about with energy and vitality? Are you able to see the beauty of God’s creation and enjoy the changing panorama of the seasons? Do you have a job, a vocation or skill that you are able to use to create something good or serve the needs of another person? What do you have to be thankful for today?

Do you have the sweet memory of a loved one who has gone to be with the Lord? Do you live with the hope and expectation of being reunited with a loved one? Are you looking forward to a special event? What do you have to be thankful for today? Are your children healthy and walking with the Lord? Do you have frineds and family who love you?

Are you free to worship God without the interference of governmental restraints? Are you free from the tyranny of a fearful expectation of tomorrow? Do you have the nearness of family and friends? What do you have to be thankful for today?

Are you thankful for the victory of Jesus over death, hell and the grave? Are you grateful for the promises of God that will not delay or disappoint? Are you thankful for forgiveness of your sins? Are you grateful for Gods’ grace that blesses you when you don’t deserve it? Are you thankful for the presence of Jesus right now, who said, He would never leave us or forsake us? Do have any reason to stop today and say, “Thank You Father, God, Thank You Jesus, Thank You Holy Spirit?”

Father, God, we just want to say, Thank You, today. Thank You, Thank You, Thank you. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, THANK YOU.
