Love, The Force of Life

”And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:14-18

“In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 1 John 4:9-11

Jesus came from the Father to us that we might live through Him. The word might in this passage carries the meaning closer to that we would have the right, the opportunity, the privilege the consent of God to live through Jesus. It’s not a matter of chance, but of assurance that we can and that whosoever chooses to accept Him will live through Him.

Love is the force that bring that life to fulfillment in us. The just shall live by faith and faith works by love. So, the just live by the force of faith which is love.

Now love, Godly love is not natural to us. We have to be taught to love.

Human love apart from God is merely emotional, mental stimulation usually centered on a feeling of physical excitement. But that love does not last and it’s dependent on a host of circumstances and conditions and mental states. It’s hot one minute and cold the next.

But, the Love of God is steadfast, immovable, unchanging and always directed toward our good. Ok. We know that. So, what else does it mean? It means we can love one another the way He loves us. Yes. You and I can love one another with such passion and decisive commitment to life that we become for one another inspiration for life. It is love begetting life begetting life.

Because God loves us we can live to love others.

I send my love to you all. HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!!
