Good days, Good Times Good Things Are On The Way

“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.” Proverbs 25:11

Sometimes the way the Scriptures are taught or preached it may seem like there is not a lot of “Good News” in it, just a lot of struggle, trouble, tribulation, suffering, waiting and not a lot of seeing, fulfilling, laughter, cheer, pleasure, happiness or joy except in the theoretical or theological sense, but that is not what Jesus came to teach and to reveal about the Father. God wants us blessed, happy and fulfilled with joy, peace and laughter just like dear little children. He does not want us burdened and somber always dower and weighed down with trouble.

It’s ok to be happy as a Christian and enjoy the best that life has to offer, without apology or embarrassment. The world my envy and dislike God’s favor and blessing on us but that’s only because they don’t know that the same blessing is available to anyone who will believe.

Ley your heart be light today and cast all your care on Him because He cares for you, a go have some fun.

To everyone, especially those facing uncertain outcomes and immanent life changes, He says:

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

To those who are weary in well doing, those struggling for daily bread, or waiting for relief from the burdens of everyday life and especially to those who are hungering for the presence of God in worship, in knowledge, in revelation and healing, He says:

“Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rainin the firstmonth.” Joel 2:23

For those facing persecution and those being buffeted by the resistance of the enemy to the proclamation of the Gospel He says:

“Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.” Matthew 5:12

To the generous hearted whose compassion motivates them to great generosity He says:

“And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always andunder all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].” 2 Corinthians 9:8 AMP

To all of us He says, today:

“Fear not, littleflock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Luke 12:32

The former and the latter rain together —The good things God has done for us in the past are still happening now and the new things He is sending are now being poured out on us and will increase again and again to the glory of His great name.

I hear the sound of the abundance of rain…[1 Kings 18:41]
