Say Continually

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.” Psalm 35:27

As we have often affirmed the Word says that death and life are in the power of the tongue

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Proverbs 18:21

Words of life are the words of God. But they are not natural to us. God has made that clear.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosperin the thing whereto I sent it.” Isaiah 55:8-11

What we say continually determines the course of our lives. The just live by faith [Heb. 10:38] and faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. [Romans 10:17] When we speak the Word of God we are agreeing with God’s ways and God’s thoughts. His Words are our life. They are the food for our souls and they are God’s wisdom from above given to us for guide us to health, wealth, success and peace.

For Joshua and for us by covenant as the seed of Abraham, it was the book of the Law.

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:8-9

Today we have through the scriptures, the awareness of the Law of sin and death and through the witness of the Apostles the Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus and above all we have the person Who is the fulfillment of the Law, Jesus Christ.

“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:2

“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.” Hebrews 1:4

So, we should say continually, “Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.”

God is for us. He wants us blessed and prospering in all things. He wants us to lie in peace and to be at rest in Him. His ways Hos thoughts His power His wisdom His will for our lives is beyond our comprehension. But we can know Him in the person of our Lord Jesus Christ. We magnify Him when we say, believe and do His will.

“O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.” Psalm 34:3
