Jesus, One With The Father
“Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” John 14:8-14
If you were hanging out with Jesus, listening to His teaching, watching Him raise the dead, heal the sick, recovery sight and hearing to the blind and deaf, make the dumb to speak and the lame to walk, feed thousands of people from a store of only five loaves of bread and two fish, not to mention being transfigured into radiant light, would you ask Him to show God to you?
Probably not now, because we have the Bible and we know that Jesus and the Father are One. But the disciples only knew what they could see in the moment and most of them, though they saw the miracles were still un aware of what they were seeing and Who it was that was living with them and showing them the power and glory of God.
They somehow knew there was more than what they thought they understood from sight, touch, sound and taste. They had heard Jesus talk about the Father and that He only did what the Father said to do and say what the Father said to say. But they weren’t quite ready to surrender their full faith to Him unless they could be assured that God the Father had indeed sent His to them, that He was indeed the Messiah, the anointed One to Save and rule over all Israel.
They saw Him as a man, but they did not see Him also as God. Despite their admission that no one could do the things He did unless God was with Him.
He revealed to them all in that moment the He, a man born of the Spirit of God, but begotten as a man was in God the Father and God the Father was in Him. They together were and are one and the same, inseparably, indistinguishably and un-diminishably One.
If God then is One with Jesus, then Jesus as God cannot die ever again. He died once and for all time and for all people once as a man. But He lives as a man in God and God in Him forever. He is alive right here, right now, right were we live, right in the midst of our circumstances, out joys, our victories, our successes, our abundance of blessing, our confident assurance and unwavering faith, in our trials and our sorrows, our failure and our tears, our want and our needs. He knows our human condition better than we do and most of all He cares about everything that concerns us and is committed by His blood to perfecting it and making us fully completed in Him as He is in the Father.
He wants you healed now and free from pain. So, in the name of Jesus, be healed and free from pain now. He wants you successful and victorious over every obstacle and adversity in your life, so be successful and victorious over every obstacle and adversity in your life. He wants you to be more than abundantly supplied for the necessities of life and the overflowing blessings of is riches in glory by Christ Jesus. So, be abundantly supplied for all your need and be overflowingly filled with His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. He wants to turn your sorrows into joy. So, be filled wit His joy today.
“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Mark 11:23
By the power in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth and as His ambassador I speak healing, health, wholeness and peace, joy, blessing, success, victory, deliverance and restoration to life and all that is good to you, now. Be blessed exceedingly, abundantly above all you could ask or think, and let it be so in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!
To God be the glory, great things He has done!
