Healing The World

“If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:6-7

“Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?” 2 Corinthians 6:14

With all the talking going on around us in and outside the walls of the church why are so many ignoring the incontrovertible truth that all sin is grievous to God and all sin will be judged regardless of how politically acceptable, socially whitewashed, fragrance sprayed, lavishly covered or compellingly designed it may appear to men?

Why are so many passionate for their political agendas, yet so few are passionate for living righteously before a Holy God?

Where is the soul of the body of Christ, the Church? Who is the true Church? Is Christ divided? He said He and the Father always agree. Whatever is the will of the Father is the will of Jesus.

Yet, there are those who claim to be Christians, even some in the Church who are of opposing opinions on matters of sin and what is morally acceptable for the society and what is morally reprehensible to God.

Does what God calls an abomination no longer remain an abomination to His church if the culture says it’s now morally acceptable? Is sin no longer sin because the culture has decided to be the final arbiter of what is morally right or wrong?

Are there none in the public arena or with a bully pulpit willing to stand up and speak the true will of God? Did Jesus die in vain? If He did not die to pay the debt of sin, since as some believe now there is no sin, what was His death for?

The nation that exalts sin will eat the fruits of it. The wages of sin is death. The nation that loves evil and calls it good in the name of selfish pleasure has no place in the flow of God’s blessing and favor.

Let God be true and every man a liar. (Romans. 3:4)

“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” Proverbs 14:34

The last best hope for the world is still Jesus. The last best hope for democracy is still the United States of America, and the last best hope for The United States of America is Jesus Christ and His righteousness alone. Now the depository of that righteousness is The Holy Spirit, resident in the world by faith in the hearts of every believer in the name of Jesus.

Those who believe and stand fast in the liberty where with Christ has made us free, will reap the good of the earth. They will not be overwhelmed by the deeds of evil people but by the humility of prayer and submission to God’s Word, they shall be eyewitnesses to the healing of the land.

“…if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

When God’s people pray a pathway is made for the Holy Spirit of God to move on the hearts of men and women to convict them of sin of judgment and of righteousness. God did not send Jesus to condemn the world but to save it. And Jesus did not send the Holy Spirit to the world, but to the Church, that through Him the world would be convicted (made aware of) of their sins, and of the righteousness of Christ and of the judgment of God against all the works of the devil.

“Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.” John 16:7-11

We don’t need to be in any one’s face or confronting those who oppose us with violence and anarchy as are the ways of those inspired by hate and destruction, the methods of the devil. Sinners need our love and compassion not our condemnation.

"Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven..." Luke 6:37

Therefore, our weapons of warfare are not carnal, but they are powerful, if we will use them.

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh (for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the casting down of strongholds), casting down 1imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ; and being in readiness to avenge all disobedience, when your obedience shall be made full.” 2 Corinthians 10:3-6

Our prayers will bring down the strong holds of ungodliness over our nation and God will bring healing to our land. Pray and keep on praying. God hears and He will answer our prayers.
