Give Thanks With A Grateful Heart

"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful." Colossians 3:15

Having a heart of gratitude gives joy and blessing to life. Gratitude for God reminds us that we are not here alive on earth of our own doing, and we are not sustained by the brilliance or cleverness of our minds. We are here, first, and last, because God decided it woold be so.

A Prayer of Thanksgiving

Our Father, Creator of All things, Lord of Lords, and King of Kings, to You alone be all Praise, Adoration, Honor, Glory and Dominion, all Majesty and Power, and Love, now and Forever!!!!

Thank You, Father for life and health, for peace and joy, for love and comfort, for deliverance from the snare of the fowler, for deliverance from evil! Thank you for loving us more than we can comprehend and giving Your life so that we can live free from sin and death. Thank You for eyes to see the amazing works of Your hands. Thank You for ears to hear the beauty and wisdom, and life of Your Word. Thank You for a mouth to speak wisdom and express our love for You and worship and honor You with our voice and our songs. Thank You for hands and arms that give and receive, that build and remove, that embrace and defend, that help to lift and help to lay down. Thank You for feet to run, to walk, to climb, to jump, to dance and to move about wherever You lead us, to give ourselves fully to the work of going into all the world to proclaim the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord!

Thank You for a new heart to love as You love us, to show mercy and compassion, to be gracious and patient, to choose life and what is good, and that desires to please You, to glorify You, and to carry Your message with passion and faith to all we encounter.

Thank You, Father for blessing us with loving, caring compassionate and gracious friends and loved ones!!!

Thank You, Father, for those who have chosen to walk this journey of life with us and share our burdens, our joys, and our sorrows, our victories, and our failures, all with grace, love, patience, and kindness!!

Thank You for the gift of righteous labors, the work of our hands, that gives us satisfaction and fulfillment of purpose in this life, that we may have more than enough to meet our needs and a surplus to help to meet the needs of others.

Thank You for this day and all the days You have ordained for us in this world, and in that which is to come!

Thank You for blessing this nation. Thank You for not abandoning us though our ways have not always been righteous. Thank You for those who are serving Your righteous cause in leadership and defense, in preserving our freedoms and in judging righteously.

Thank You for peace, for health and well-being, for joy and the immeasurable privilege of spending eternity with You!!!

Thank You Father, Thank You Jesus, Thank You Holy Spirit!!! In the name of Jesus Christ our Savior, King, and Lord of all, I give You all Thanksgiving and Praise. Amen and Amen!
