Fear Not! — Part 5

Read time 5:24

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ Isaiah 41:10

So, we have nothing to fear! Fear not the election that is coming, fear not the days to follow whatever the outcome may be. Fear not the pandemic. Fear not the threat of economic ruin or financial disaster. Fear not the education of your children and grand children. Fear not for your health or your wellbeing. Fear not the loss of your goods or your reserves. Fear not those who threaten to take away your freedom or put you in bondage to anything in any way. FEAR NOT! God is with us!

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ Isaiah 41:10

Has this “new routine” of day to day living become so burdensome and draining of your energy that you’re just feeling spent and powerless against the seemingly relentless drumbeat of noise from all the children of fear, words of impending doom, disaster, destruction, loss, restraining, restrictions, uncertainty, anxiety, unrest, anarchy, violence and threats from those, who like their father the devil, have come as the thief, only to steal, to kill and to destroy? If so, hear what Jesus is speaking to everyone of us now. He has come that we might have life and that more abundantly. We have nothing to fear now.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

The future looks bright for us and it is filled with hope and promise in God. [Jeremiah 29:11 God’s Word Translation] God did not send this pandemic, and He certainly is not using it to judge us, or punish the world because of sin, or to teach His people, The Church, anything. Sin for every Christian has been judged in Jesus Christ [John 5:27 John 5:22]. Now the choice for life is up to everyone to choose whom they will serve [Deuteronomy 30:19; Joshua 24:15].

The Father has sent the Holy Spirit to His church to teach us all that we need to know to attain to life and Godliness. He has given the gifts of the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers for our perfecting until we all come into the unity of the faith and the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. [Ephesians 4:10-15]

This pandemic is not from God our Father. But He is using this time to further His Kingdom’s cause on the earth, to cause us to sharpen our focus on our faith as believers in Jesus Christ for salvation and eternal life, and to better equip ourselves to give a reason for the hope that is in us. He is using this time to work in us the earnest determination to deepen our resolve to walk in the light as He is in the light, to walk by faith and not by sight, to discern between good and evil and choose life over death.

Yes, in all of this we give thanks to God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18-23

On the other side of this present trial there is great spiritual renewal and outpouring of God’s Spirit in the world with a demonstration of God’s Spirit and power.

“Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Luke 12:32
