"Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ..." 1 Peter 1:13
There is an idea of the mind that gives us the sense of it as a person that we can communicate with outside of our own thoughts. That is, we can from the point of view of our spirit, speak to our souls (our mind and emotions) to imagine or consider something willfully. We are not simply left to random thoughts bombarding us all the while we are awake.
We can choose what we think, and certainly what we choose to meditate on continually. We are actually commanded to think on higher things, [Philippians 4:8 --things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, good, virtue, praise] and promised that if we keep our thoughts on God the Father and Jesus, His Word, we will be continually in perfect peace. [Isaiah 26:3]
When instructed in Ephesians 6:14, concerning the full amor of God, to prepare for spiritual warfare, we are to 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth..." This article of armor (the girdle) protects the digestive, the elimination, and the reproductive organs of the body.
Why is truth associated with these organs? First, the reproductive organs define our gender, whether we are male or female. The truth of who we are is determined there. Not in what we think or feel or wish we were, but what God created us to be. Second, It is also where we initiate the procreation of life, acting as agents of creation in the perpetuation of our kind, male and female, human beings created in the image of God.
Third and fourth, we know that a healthy elimination system is essential for life and wellbeing. It separates what is beneficial for sutaining life from what is to be eliminated, and it removesthe residue of dead elements that no longer serve life, but would rob us of life were they to remain in us. So, they are removed for the sake of maintaining us in a state of health and wellbeing. [Matthew 7:18-19]
Just as the devil sought to dissuade Eve, by a lie about the forbidden fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, so too, God knew that he would also try to deceive mankind by the lie of multiple, man -imagined, and man-manipulated genders, none of which are created in the image of God, but are fashioned after the mind of corruptible man, led by the devil, the father of lies, a fallen creature condemned to spend eternity in hell.
So, to protect us from this assault against God's natural law we need to likewise gird up the loins of our minds, (the natural thoughts of Godly truth) by being sober and keeping the truth of God ever in the forefront of our thinking, as the only sure defense against the ever-rising invasion of various social and political indoctrination-isms to the contrary.
And we must remain vigilant, to be prepared to defend the truth, by the grace of God that will be fully revealed at the return of Christ when all things will be restored to divine order.
Finally, therefore,
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen...." 1 Peter 5:8-11
There it is! The purpose of woke-ism, and multiple genders-ims arising in these last days, is two-fold. First, to steal our trust in God's Word as the ultimate and final authority of truth in life, and second, to kill us as children of God, and destroy our faith in the hope of the resurrection of Jesus that leads to eternal life.
The devil seeks to devour us because we trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation and stand in faith in that name that is above every name, Jesus Christ, our Savior Lord, and King. If he can't kill us outright then he seeks to abort babies in the womb and neuter us, to prevent us from procreating, from raising up future generations to the glory of God.
The devil's tactics are not new. At the birth of Moses, Pharoah, fearing that the Hebrew children were a threat to him because they continued to multiply despite the hard bondages of slavery, they were made to endure at is hand. He sought to kill all the male children in infancy among the Hebrews, but Moses was hidden by his mother and set adrift in a basket on the Nile. Later, he was discovered by Pharaoh's daughter and adopted by her to be raised in the house of Pharaoh, until the day God called him to be Israel's deliverer out of Egypt.
Likewise, Herod tried to kill the Messiah, Jesus, in infancy also, by killing all the male children two years old and younger in his day for fear that a king would be raised up among the Hebrews to rule over Rome. But an angel warned Joseph to escape into Egypt until Herod died and then to return to Nazareth and be brought up there until the day He would be revealed to fulfill His ministry.
Could it be that we are living in such a time, when the return of Christ is imminent and the devil is again seeking to destroy babies and children, through abortion, gender manipulation, corruption and indoctrination of innocent children's minds; to drive them into cults of transgenderism to abuse and mutilate their bodies, distort and captivate their minds to accept the anti-Christ by denying God and worshiping idols of science, so called, and false religions with detestable rituals and degenerate practices, presenting themselves as higher more enlightened, more educated people with more intellectually superior points of view, denying God and His Word? I all this intended to debase and corrupt the minds, the souls, and the bodies of all those, men, women, and children caught up in them?
Intoxicated by the lusts of the flesh and ignorance of the Word of God, they become easy prey for the adversary who walks about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.
Therefore, we must be all the more diligent to stand fast on the Word of God, to be sober, watchful, and alert to the signs of the times, but not to be shaken or disturbed in our souls, but keeping our thoughts on Jesus, thinking on the things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, good, virtuous, and praiseworthy.
Fear not, little flock, for it is our Father's good pleasure to give us the kingdom. [Luke 12:32]
